May be the gallbladder.

For almost two weeks I have been having abdominal pain and cramping after I eat. It will usually last about 30-45 mins. I decided to call my surgeon today and after speaking with him and giving the details of how I am feeling he has suggested i have an ultrasound on my gallbladder. Lucky for me I have a friend who does this and she is getting me in first thing in the morning.  I have been reviewing the symptoms I am having and I am believing that is the problem. I hope I will have an answer soon. The first 6-7 weeks were smooth but the past two have been yuck!!  For anyone else with pain call your doc!! Don't put it off like I have!!

I had a pain in my right side under my ribs quite soon after I had surgery done.  I had the CT scan to look for pulmonary issues even though I told the doctor I thought it was my gallbladder.  He just wanted to be safe.  I then went and had the sonogram and the HD scan.  Results are it is the gallbladder.  It is only operating at 3%.  So next Friday I will be having it removed.  Think my sister who has also had the sleeve may be experiencing the same issue.  My mother on the other hand has not experienced any issues.  All this being said it wouldn't change my mind to have the surgery.  Just listen to your body and if something's not right contact your doctor.

3 months post sleeve I had to have emergency GB surgery...never had any issues before but on Labor day as I was getting ready for our block's annual chilli cookoff...had the worst pain ever.  So unfortunately it is more common after WL surg.  I did ask my surgeon ahead of time that since so many people have issues would he just take it out at the same time as the sleeve..and he said no because I had never had any GB issues....and there you have it...the story of my GB.  Good luck to you...if you have to have surg..it was much easier than the sleeve.
