I'm on soft foods right now. I've been eating eggs (scrambled or a softer hard boiled), cottage cheese, string cheese (other soft cheese), tuna, very moist chicken or turkey (tiny bites and chew chew chew), yogurts and puddings (mix nice with protein powder too if you need), banana, apple sauce, melon (no raw veggies yet), mashed potatoes and cream of wheat. I've even tried some turkey meatballs and ground beef with a little marinara sauce and that went down ok. I found those Gerber meat sticks (baby food section) are not bad heated up a little. Anything new you try, go slow and take small bites and dont take more than a few bites the first time to make sure it agrees with you. I have not had my sleeve reject anything yet, but you never know. And remember to measure and not eat more than 1/4 cup of the denser foods at any one time. Even things like pudding can surprise you and not slide through your sleeve so easy. You are left a bit uncomfortable until it moves down. So go slow and use small utensils if you can. I still us the old baby spoons and forks I found in the back of my drawer. It reminds me to take small bites. If you use smaller plates and utensils there is a psychological thing where you don't feel like you are eating such small portions.
I track my food on myfitnesspal.com (user name: NadurraDeb). You are welcome to friend me there and then you can see what I have been eating...if that helps. I highly recommend it. It's hard to keep track of your food. Before surgery I would go over easy without tracking. After surgery it's the opposite...I need to make sure I am getting my minimun calories and protein and not going over in carbs.
