I have surgery in a couple of days and  I have  a silly question would Isopure count as a water intake plus protien intake?   I hear people refer to it as protien water?    just wondering ...............

Yes, it's a great source of protein and counts towards your liquids.  I tried it post-op and couldn't get it down.  I just couldn't get past the "protein" taste -- and I don't have any trouble with protein shakes.  Luckily, I bought it at Vitamin Shoppe and they took it all back, even the opened bottles.

Good luck with your surgery.

Absolutely, it counts as both!

(That is, if you can get past the taste.....) I stuck to shakes. Isopure was gag-a-licious, IMO! LOL!

I mix the Isopure with water and it makes it easier to drink.

I am pre op and trying to get used to how life will be post op so I have been trying to get used to shakes, isopure, etc. i have been mixing it with water too. Otherwise it does not go down. Syntrax also. The smell is so mediciny. But as you all say that tastes change after surgery I am hoping I am going to wake up hungry for isopure!!!

I have no idea what I would have done this past week without isopure!!!!  I wouldn't say that they are the best thing I've ever tasted but I tolerated them well and after a few you get used to that after taste.  I would have NEVER gotten in 30-40 grams of protein if not for them.
