Couldn't agree more!!!  I think that one of the GREATEST ways that we sabotage ourselves is when we step on and off the scale more often than weekly.  A torture chamber for emotional/binge eaters like most of us were pre op!

Thanks so much for posting Rob!  And I agree the new pic is great=)

Hahaha... conflicting info there. Did you watch the video on the page too though? It says that dieters that weigh daily lost an average of 12 more pounds. I love news site. Sigh.

I am a daily weigher, BUT I don't recommend it unless you have the ability to recognize that it will go up and down. I need that daily reminder of what I'm doing and why. I don't freak out if it goes up a pound or two (hell, it always does anyway). I've learned to deal with it. I don't take a scale with on vacation or anything, but it is part of my routine.

Either way, great article... if a little conflicting

I weigh daily. I have for the past 5 years. I also log my weights in online. I got to my highest weight by not paying attention to what I weighed. This keeps me honest! And on track! I know water weight can fluctuate and I am ok with that! I also go on week long trips out of town and will weigh at the gym if I have that option, but I am not obsessed with the scale if one is not available.

As a newbie, I'm still conflicted about this....should I weigh daily or should I do so once a week. i went through a stall a week ago and of course the scale drove me crazy. I must admit though, that I weigh myself too often, like everytime  I go in the bathroom-even if it's just to brush my teeth.

However, I think right now, at 4 weeks out, I still need to weigh myself daily for accountability. If I notice my weight increase a pound, or not move for a day or 2, then I become more conscience of what I'm eating, increasing my activity, etc.

Now I know that in another few weeks, the weight loss will be less dramatic as it has been this first month. And at that point I'll drop down to 2x a week (better than 2x an hour, right?).  But again, I'm conflicted because I know I'm overly obsessed with the scale, but it's the accountability factor that I need.
