I want to set my first goal. I want to be in onederland by the end of my second month. Starting weight 256, surgery weight 242, current weight 223 at 1 month post op. So I have 23 pounds to lose by October 6th. Is that reasonable?

I'm going to say not very reasonable.  It's possible, but you still may have the big stall before then.  You've lost a lot this first month.  The other months go slower.

I stalled out at week 5 and it lasted 3.5 weeks!

Everything I seen posted by the vets says never put a your weightloss goals on a timeline.  It's not something you can directly control.  You should base your goals on things you can directly control...protein intake, fluid intake, exercise.

I agree with itzmetinab... do NOT use a timeline.

All of my goals along the way (and there's been at least 30 of them LOL, I like little tiny goals) are NEVER time based. You never know when you'll stall and, IMHO, it's setting yourself up for failure.

I think your next goal should be to get to 1/3 of the way to your goal. That's what? 4 pounds?

Think small. Then try to get to 40 pounds loss. Watch your BMI, set BMI goals. Keep your eye on small prizes... but try to avoid date ones.

My opinion.
