My Loose Skin Theory

I keep looking at myself in the mirror in clothes and thinking, it's not just perspective--I do look thinner at this weight than I did years ago at the same weight.  Why?  Because years ago when I was at this weight, it was solid fat around my middle, and my body shape was stouter and more solid.

Now I think at least a small part of the weight is loose skin, and more importantly, instead of a solid block of ME, the loose skin (melted candle, as somebody put it!) actually looks better in clothes.

I don't know if I've explained this well, or if it's my imagination--but I seriously think I look slimmer now than I did the last time I weighed this amount, and it's because my body shape is very different.

I'm not going to complain about my loose skin, because it looks a lot better than the fat did, even when I weighed the same!

[I'm not gaining weight. I keep lowering my goal!] [I LOVE MY SLEEVE!]

I'm not going to complain either!  I may not be okay with it all the time...but I am okay with my weight loss:). I'm healthier and happier and that's what matter!

I am having my surgery done on October 3rd. My biggest fear about this all is the thought of all the loose skin. How bad is it going to be? I just need honest answers...
Its gotta be better than the way I look now right???

Loose skin is different for everyone. I prefer this skin to fat filled skin. I will need some plastic surgery if I want to lose it, but for now, I'm ok with it. I will look into it once I know I'm done having children. Good luck on your surgery! I'm so glad I had it done!

Here's my thought.

I don't feel like I look as good naked because my boobs are deflated and the fat isn't all filled out, it's loose skin instead, but I look damn good in clothes and with a push-up bra :)

Boobs are my priority then I'll see about the skin. Nothing a suck me in tank top can't keep in control. My thighs are firming up everyday.

Ahh the skin. My thighs and butt are having a hard go of it. I don't think they will ever bounce back. But, Its not enough skin to justify a lower body lift. Not to mention all these skin type surgeries look like hack-jobs, no offence to anyone who has one. I'm scared I'd look like a patched together Frankenstein.

Boobs are sad looking. They are deflated, with stretch marks accross the top. I know moms who have had theirs done after one child... Mine looks like I had triplets or something. I might get them fixed, but the skin will never be the same.

... The skin will never be the same...
