wow... I can't believe you got VSG'd 6 years ago.... I'm a little irritated that you didnt call me. Obviously, I'm teasing, I think it is a very considerate thing for you to pop in and share. What better motivation could there be? Every day, someone from OH makes a lasting impression me, and today that someone is you. Thank you and best wishes for continued success. much love.

You are all very welcome. When I was pre-op and then for the first couple of years after my surgery I was on this site everyday. As soon as I was home from work I would immediately get online here. It meant so much to have a group of people who truly understood what it was like to order an appetizer and be able to eat only 3 bites while everyone else at the table ordered appetizers and full meals. The main topic at the table is how little you are eating. It's that kind of experience that only another wls person understands. I am always available for questions and I promise to check in a lot more often. I am thrilled to see that the legacy of vsger's has carried on. As the post op surgical patients begin to really lose weight and start having a different more active and often time interesting life, they stop coming to the site as often and that is what happens to most of us. We are here on the site to help each other. I love that the forum is still here, people are still asking the same questions and life carries on... This is the best wls and I am proving how well it works everyday.

Thank you for the post, nice to see people this far out. I am at 5'9 3/4 but will be lucky to see single digits for pants size, I will be happy to be a size ten. I don't think it will happen with my bone structure. I am still at a snug 13 with about 40 left to go, so not sure what size I will be in, I know back in my teen years I remember 11 but sizes have changed and not sure where I am going to stop maybe in twenty more, will know when I get there. Everyone thinks 165 is good for me and yes looked good at that weight, I just want to have a bit more room to play with when I hit maintenance.

I couldn't even imagine having to try to stop the weight loss, that must have been so hard for you, but hey I know muscle relaxers work to stop it. Hitting my one year tomorrow and disappointed with this stand still but I will keep on trucking along, it just might take me longer then I was hoping for.

Please do post more often.

Just so you know that even growing up I did not remember myself in sizes below 10.  Then when I had this surgery it got me down to a size 2.  It was kind of out of my control.  I didn't feel much like eating so the pounds just keps coming off.  I have since increased a bit and have ended up at a size 6 where I am very comfortable.  Just take it one step at a time.  One little secret:  I never cheated until I was at least a size 8.   Hope this helps a little and causes some impression.

You did very well, I wish I had that problem of not wanting to eat. But I have my days where just my protein shakes satisfy me. I couldn't even imagine a size 2 at your height or mine. Same goes for a size 6, do you have pictures of what you look like in these size of clothes?

awesome for you!  thanks for the motivation and update.  i am only one year out and find myself doing other things now that i am more flexible and energized instead of checking in here on OH.

i appreciate your pioneer attitude for having the vsg six years ago when it must have been super new.  thank you again for your longterm post-op feedback.

BRAVO!!  Wonderful reading your post!  Relaxes my mind some. I am always worried about what the future will hold. Hopefully we will all share your success. I worry that I wont be able to maintain my enthusiasm years down the road when its not so new.  Do you still measure, log your food etc? Right now I exercise and it is not a chore (I actually enjoy it) But as we approach the longggg winter, and the holiday season I hope that I can continue some motivation. Again, thanks for posting.
