Just an update to my previous posts regarding my breast biopsy from Friday and scheduled sleeve for tomorrow.

GOOD NEWS:  no breast cancer!!! But severe and marked mastitis with abscess so for the

BAD NEWS:  surgeon canceled sleeve for tomorrow - instead I have to see dr to be referred to breast surgeon to have incision and drainage for culture to find correct antibiotic to treat infection.  Which the way things move in my town (I don't have any connections with breast surgeons) could be awhile so who knows when I'll be sleeved.

So while I am so thankful -( more than thankful) about the no cancer diagnosis(been there and done that) - I am disappointed that my condition could delay surgery for quite awhile.  Funny thing is - I had started bowel prep because originally surgeon's office thought I could proceed with tomorrow's surgery but when dr saw pathology report - he canceled me.  I know --better safe than sorry - just can't help being disappointed - I was so ready.  Course now - I'm going to be spending the evening in the bathroom but in scope of things - guess it could be worse.

Which brings me to telling all of you *****sponded to my previous posts - I could really feel the care and prayers that were expressed - thank you so much - it really helped to know you were rooting for me - tearing up just typing this - wish I could meet all of you and thank you in person - it really means a lot to have such support.  Thank you!!!

thank God.   You know what, be totally okay with the slight delay in sleeving.  I'd take that gladly over another cancer diagnosis.  God bless, i'm so happy for you.

 Paula,

Sorry your sleeve surgery was cancelled tomorrow.  I am happy to hear that it was not cancer.  I know it is hard to put off something you want, but you just remember that by taking care of this problem now, you are putting yourself in the most healthy position you can be when you do get your sleeve.  I will hope that things go quickly for you, that you heal quickly from this infection and then get your sleeve done and heal quickly from that!

While I'm sorry your sleeve surgery has been cancelled for tomorrow (POSTPONED, because, eventually, you will be able to have it), I'm glad to hear you don't have breast cancer.

Best wishes!

I am so relieved for you!!

Not fun that you have to have more poking & prodding, then meds.. but it'll soon be cleared up and things will be good to go!

I am so happy that your biopsy was not cancer - that is such good news! I am so sorry that you do have an abscess though! You must have been feeling so sick. I hope the treatment goes well and you heal. I am also so sorry that you had to cancel your sleeve surgery. I am sure you are dissappointed. Good news bad news is right and bowel prep....yuk! Be well, take good care of yourself and good luck with your treatment!

whew..had me scared there with the no surgery tomorrow header-
I am so relieved for you that it is not cancer. I am sure you are beyond giddy with relief, and at the same time disapointed by the hold up to surgery. It will be so much better for you though to not have a major infection in your body. Best to clear that up first or they would not have cancelled it.  Chin up, it'll be your turn soon!  Take care! I had a cancer scare a few years ago, turned out benign. That is a wonderful word. I'm so relieved for you that it is not cancer. Yes, it is a bummer to wait for the sleeve. But once that infection is cleared up, it will be much safer for your surgeon to do your sleeve. You don't want to be fighting an infection while your body tries to heal after surgery. Please keep us posted about how you are doing.

Paula,

So happy to hear the diagnosis!  Better this the what could have been.  Once you get this issue resolved, you'll be in great condition to go ahead with the sleeve.  We're all rooting for you.  Keep us posted on your progress!
