I've had numerous abdominal surgeries - and sometimes I feel a sharp pain when turning over in bed or bending over - had numerous CT scans - finally after my last abdominal surgery - my surgeon mentioned that he had done lysis of adhesions - and so far no more unidentified pains. So maybe you have adhesions - they do not show up on CT scans I've been told. Just a theory.
If you think it's your gallbladder a CT scan may not have found it. I had a CT scan and when that came back fine my doctor sent me for a sonogram and something called a hyda scan (-sp?). The scan is where they put radiation in your body let it sit for an hour while it takes pictures of the area. Then they add something that causes your gallbladder to function and take pictures during it all to see if it's doing what it needs to. Mine was only functioning at 3%. You know your body and if something doesn't feel right you should follow up with your doctor about it.
Someone mentioned Lysis of Adhesions. That is the first thing that came to mind, unfortunately there is no testing to diagnose this but it is most likely the case. Another surgery could help if the pain is unbearable but it could also cause more adhesions to form, depending on how many he is able to get rid of the new ones will probably not hurt like the adhesions you already have. Good luck. i really hope you and your doctor can decide what is best for you.
