One Month Post Op (A Little Late)
Hi there everyone!
Just wanted to check in for a quick (although slightly belated) one month post op check in. I've lost 32 pounds, and am feeling great. I seem to be a stair-step loser, in that I'll have several days of no loss then 1-2 pounds in a day. It's fine with me- as long as that scale keeps moving downwards eventually I'm happy.
I've been much more busy than usual lately. As part of this overall life-changing process, I have been trying to be more outgoing and meet people, which for now is translating into a lot of volunteering at my son's preschool and in a local Mommies group where I've just taken on the role of activities planer for kids my son's age. We have been having nice weather, too, so when we aren't busy with other stuff we are outside playing a lot. My whole family has been getting in on the activity increases- my son rides in his stroller for my C25K runs and my husband is walking with us in the evenings. He has lost 15 pounds since my surgery, just because of the healthy cooking and walking. He has been such a huge supporter, and makes this journey easier for me. I love that it's helping to get our whole family healthier.
A few NSVs:
I've been able to keep up with C25K so far, even though the first run each week is always very hard. It feels amazing to complete each workout, since it's always kind of a surprise that I can do it! My jiggly booty is getting uncomfortable when running, but I'm just compressing that sucker into some spandex and keeping moving! I need better compression shorts (my are cheapy Champions) but have a tight budget so I'm stuck with what I have for now.
Clothes are getting too big. I made an appointment to take some of my nicer Fall/Winter stuff to a consignment shop next week to see about getting some credit for new stuff. It's all Macys, Nordstrom, etc, so hopefully I'll get a little something for them.
I'm getting my waist back! And my face is getting less chubby!
Here is a comparison picture:
The left side (brown tee) is a few days after surgery, around 288 pounds. The right is last weekend on one of our walks, at 258 pounds. Progress!
Hope everyone is having a great week so far.

You are doing GREAT!!! So proud of you and your efforts. Keep up the good work!
Your dedication and consistency is paying off. You've got this and you'll be very successful during the rest your journey!
Hugs,
Ree
Could you please explain what the C25K is to a newbie!
Congratulations on your success and all the best for continued success.
