Update - saw breast surgeon - sleeve a go for Tuesday
For those of you who have followed my breast biopsy/ abscess - surgery cancellation - rescheduling saga - here goes:
went to breast surgeon yesterday - had huge hematoma aspirated - no more infection after course of antibiotics - aspiration has helped with some of the breast pain - dr said she could only get about half of hematoma material due to thickness of old blood in it so I still have a golfball sized hematoma but it was tennis ball size so that is some improvement.
My sleeve surgeon called and asked that I come in so he could check for himself and I just got back (1 1/2 hr each way) - he said unless it gets worse before Tueday then I'm a go for surgery on Oct 2!!!
Finally - it has been a long road. Now I just have to make sure I don't catch a cold or have an accident, lol.
Now the surgery nerves are setting in - not afraid of the surgery but have concerns about blood clots, dehydration, leak, etc. I am self pay and that includes 30 days of complication coverage but I live 1 1/2 hrs away so if I have to go to local hospital, I am on my own. So believe me I will be super vigilant about following directions and my surgeon's plan.
So thanks to everyone for all the good wishes and support - I'm sure I'll be posting again before Tuesday - I'm sure my anxiety will bubble up and make an appearance on the boards, lol.

Hi Paula
I'm so happy for you that you are going to have your surgery next week. I've followed your trek through all the problems you've had and it's so good to learn that things are going much better for you.
Please keep up posted on your progress with your sleeve. I'm 3 months out as of yesterday and it's been such a great journey thus far. I wish for you to have the same easy recovery that I had.
Welcome aboard -- there's lot of room here for you on the loser's bench!
Good luck......
