Hmm, so it sounds like even the specialists don't have any extra special ideas for treating it.

My husband always says, "Eat more vegetables."

Grrrr.

Ya and "eat more fiber".... Really, come on now! I swell up like a balloon when I get too much fiber! lol

It was so bad that 4 weeks ago my PCM was ignoring gall stone attacks and saying it must be my IBS.  Really lady,  I've dealt with it my entire life, this pain is pain!

Had my gall bladder out a week later...

I hate gastro problems!!!

A couple of months ago I went to the ER with pains.  They ended up doing an xray and running tests and they said my intestines were full of, okay, excrement and also gas.  The gas was causing the severe pain.  My colon is twice as long as normal and has a huge abnormal diameter, so yeah, all sorts of stuff going on.

I'm actually relieved to know all that.  It helps to know what's going on.  Fortunately I haven't had the severe gas pains much.  Constipation but not usually gas with it.

The only person I've ever known who had a redundant colon had it surgically removed. That solved all her problems.
