Seven Week Check In (Pictures!)
Hi everyone!
Hope you have all had a great weekend so far. Mine has been wonderful. We started yesterday with a trip to the park, where I was able to ride the carousel for the first time in years and fit comfortably on the train, too. Wow, I had forgotten how fun carousels are- especially this one, since it goes pretty fast (you know, for a carousel!) Here we are on the train, my husband is being silly:

At seven weeks out and 37 pounds down, life is so much better than it was before surgery. I have more confidence, more stamina when being active, and just a better outlook on life overall. I can not believe the profound shift in my thinking that has already happened, and am so excited about the possibilities of the future. I find that I have hope again, which is such a wonderful feeling.
Here is the comparison picture for today. The left is my beginning shot, the middle is two weeks ago, and the right is yesterday before the park. I can't believe the difference that 37 pounds has already made. It feels so good.

And, to top it all off, today my BMI hit 39.6. Yep, that's right. I'm just plain obese now! Seriously, it made me cry. Who knew it would feel so good to be obese?
Couch to 5K training is rocking. I'm on on my last day of week four, and can now run for 16 minutes. Holy moly, it feels like a miracle every time I do it! I treated myself to a new pair of Brooks Addiction 10 shoes and man, they make it even better. If you had told me six months ago that I'd be turning into a bonafide runner, I'd have slapped your face and called you Sally but I'll be damned if it isn't happening. Amazing.
Thank you as always to all of the great folks here at OH and all my MFP friends. I can't say enough about how inspiring all of you are, and how much your support means to me. And I love being able to cheer for all of you! This is one incredible journey that we are all on.

Hi Tina
What a great job you're doing! I'm really very proud of you and all the work and effort you are putting into this journey.
It's so nice to see someone reap the benefits of staying on plan and finding an exercise program that works for them.
Be proud of yourself..........enjoy your accomplishments............and keep workin' that sleeve!
Hugs,
Ree
