Really glad I like Unjury unflavored protein powder.
Twice lately I've used unflavored powder to allow myself something I ordinarily would skip. Once on steel-cut oats, and this morning on brown rice. When it's cool I sometimes want some starch and this lets me indulge a bit, even though the calorie kick isn't pretty.
I'm out of Fage Greek Yogurt and have to go get more, though. My husband brought home Chobani because the supermarket was out of Fage, and, ick. I could really taste a difference and didn't like it.
My bigger problem is that I'm getting more and more sensitive to the artificial whang of the SF Torani syrups. I guess how some people react to the flavor of the protein powder is how I react to the artificial sweeteners of all stripes.
I have a feeling that when I finally decide to stop losing and start maintaining, my larger dietary changes will be adding back sugar and fat. Not coke and cookies, mind you. But fat in my yogurt and sugar as a sweetener instead of anything artificial.
I don't mind the way I'm eating, except for those things.

I agree when I get to maintenance I hope my body, from a metabolic sense, will be able to handle a moderate (aka normal) amount of real sugars like raw honey and real fat in moderation. I really don't like the thought of chlorinated over processed bleached sugar but I tell myself it's a small amount (a capful) and I am choosing to eat this way for now to get healthier overall.
