Awww, thanks so much Tina!  Never think of myself as an inspiration........just enjoy seeing others succeed on this journey.  We're all in it together, no matter the miles apart.  And you, of course, know that you're one of my "adopted" daughters!  All my young'uns doing so well............and YOU, well, you are just knockin' everyone's socks off with how well you're doing!

YAY for us all!!!

Thank you very much, Heather -- you're kind words mean a lot.  If I inspire, maybe it's because I've lived a long time and can find joy and happiness in the accomplishments of others.  We have to give to each other some way or what is this all about?

I'll own that I'm a fairly strong minded person.  When they told me I didn't have many years left due to one particular comorb, I fell apart, cried, wallowed in self-pity............then I got ANGRY!  And an Italian ANGRY -- there are no prisoners when we get like that!  I started fighting with research and changing some things I was doing.  Then learned that this surgery could stabilize or even improve the comorb.  That's how I got my sleeve.  And it seems to be working.  My labs have shown steady improvement to the point that my specialist now says I have a really good chance of living a normal life span!  So, I guess that's fortitude.

We are all watching each other's progress -- and when we need help, we ask for it...........when others need help, we give it.  And we don't keep a tally!  That's what's so great about these sites.............OH and MFP.  I'm grateful for all of you wonderful people who have come into my life and have been so nice to me.  Thank you :-)

Now let's kick some weight-loss tuchas!!!
