Where's the Beef?
Beef tenderloin is the only one I eat - a bit pricey but one steak usually lasts me three meals or two meals and one snack. Since I eat it only a couple of times per month I treat myself. Whole tenderloin roasts are on sale a few times a year and I purchase them and cut them into steak and freeze or just buy a package of three steaks from Costco. Usually around 25 bucks for the three steaks but they are very thick so a little goes a long way.
Here in Cali we get a cut called a Tri-Tip...... not like a Mignon, but pretty tasty for standard fair.... pretty versatile for just about anything.
