Crushed!

Since I lost 192 pounds so far....I am having bad problems with  my balance.  Yesterday I randomly took a slip in socked feet on my hardwood floor and crashed onto my butt.  Bruising and swelling happened instantly and the pain just got more and more excruciating!  Went to the ER and I have broken my ****yx a.k.a tail bone!  It takes a while to heal according to the Orthopedic doctor I saw and I am just upset that this throws me off my exercise game.

To add insult to injury...the scale bloated me up 4 pounds this morning for no damn reason.  I rarely every complain but I am just a wee bit annoyed at this injury!

Awww I'm sorry you had to go through that but hang in there!  Stay off the scale and just do your best with your food and w/e bit of exercise you can do...would swimming be a possibility?  You will be healed and on your way in no time!! Sending healing thoughts your way!

Oh, that's just awful! I can only imagine how  painful that must be. You are going to be sore for a while, huh? Lack of fat padding isn't always a good thing, is it?! I'm sorry - I'm not making fun, but it did strike me that we all used to have ass fat for padding and now we don't.

I hear you on the exercise. That sort of puts you in panic mode, doesn't it?

Don't worry about t he 4 lbs. It's water and there is a reason -  you have swelling all around your tail bone now. Swelling doesn't come without a price - it's water retention.

I hope you heal quickly and ahead of schedule. And, yes, you are entitled to a ***** session! Breaking your butt bone sucks!

Crushed, sounds like that is what your doing to your weigh loss, crushing it, and your tailbone to. You'll get better, I know, because I did the same thing. When I was a kid I was lighting illegal fireworks at a lake and fell off a cliff about 6 feet and broke my tailbone. man that hurt so freaking bad. Mine was actually a compound fracture I could barely walk and it just poured blood. I had to walk about a mile and a half to get home. The walk of pain.

Congratulations on crushing the weight loss, that's fantastic. I'm sure you'll lose the other .02% your up right now too.

That ran a chill up my spine !!!!

After WL my tail bone sticks out (wish my ****yx stuck out more....ha ha...I crack myself up)

I've heard my surgeon mention this several times...... Some people after WL have balance issues and it takes a while to re-establish.

You have my sympathy!! I know exactly how bad that hurts as I had a tragic incident when I was in my teens (me...roller skates...pesky stone on footpath...butt....concrete....ouchies....fractured)

Just take it easy and get it healed first. It definitely takes a while, so don't push yourself too hard

I would definitely look into a donut to sit on.. And hopefully you'll be able to work back up to doing cardio again.. Whatever you do, don't just sit around.. That helps nothing in the end.. Hope you get well soon..

That sounds so painful. I'm sorry you are broken, but listen to the doc and let it heal. I know it sucks that you won't be able to keep up with your normal exercise routine, but in the long run, you don't want this fracture to heal wrong either. Get well wishes sent your way, along with a cyber hug.
