I think its the latter but I am going to try to measure less tomorrow and see if I still feel the hic up. Sometimes its just one. Then I stop and all is well. I don't go over 2.5 oz in total. How do you moisten things? Yogurt? Mayo?

For me, hiccuping is my signal to stop eating.  I have never vomited or had foamies or anything remotely similar.  As soon as I hiccup, I stop eating.  I feel satisfied but not overly full.  I agree with Frisco--undereat your sleeve.

Broth or stocks are also a good moistener. Like you said yogurt with a little flavoring like salsa or sugar free sweet and sour are really good too.

What's the runny nose about? Mine has been runny a lot lately. I thought it was allergies but allergy meds don't stop it. But it is all day long not just at eating time.

Yes, I get what you are saying.  One question - how do you get all your protein in - do you eat more than 3 times a day or what are you eating that has 20 grms or more of protein in 3 or less ounces?  Or do you supplement with protein shakes or powder?  I have not thrown up or had foamies or hiccups or runny nose.  I usually look at what contains 20 grams of protein(3/4 c cottage cheese, 6 oz greek yogurt, 3 oz of meat, 2 eggs with cheese), eat that and so far I have had room for some mushy vegetables.  I am only 36 days out - instructed to eat til full - yet I have not experienced any discomfort after getting in 20 grams of protein but I do stop because I do not want to vomit, foam, hiccup or have a runny nose or push the limit.  As stated in an earlier post - I am to only eat 3 meals, no snacks to the protein in - no protein shake or powders.  I stay under 800 cal, , 40-50 gr carbs.

So I do understand your what you are saying - not sure what my sleeve capacity is since I have not pushed it to the limit.  So I would guess that I AM undereating my sleeve - just seems like a lot in comparison to others on here,  but not sure how else to get the protein in and I am trying to follow my NUT's instructions.

Could you give me an idea of what you were eating at 36 days out to get your protein in?  Did you supplement with protein powder or shakes?

I consider this board a resource and I have been reading it for quite a long time.  Thanks everyone for your help - I'm still finding my way with this new tool.

Im a little over 6 months out and could not get 60 grams of protein in without one shake a day. Around 30 days out I was eating about 1.5 oz of protein per meal. I had 3 meals a day and a snack (usually more meat or low carb veggie) a day if I needed to get more calories in. 6 months out I am still drinking a shake. I eat about 2 oz of dense protein for every meal. I consider the shake a snack and usually have low carb veggie, cheese, or meat to meet the 600 calorie goal. Hope this helps...everyone is different.
