My hair! My 30th is coming up, and these greys have got to go!! I'm scared tho because I have been losing so much of my hair and it's getting really short. I am worried that the chemicals will just make more fall out. Any one dye there hair our have any thoughts if you would our not?

I just colored my grays again and although I haven't hit the 4-6mo hair loss phase, I do lose a considerable amount of hair normally due to illness. If your hair is falling out then it's gonna fall out if it's gray, brown, black, red or blond- So as long as you're not over-processing your hair, you won't make it any worse. have fun!

God bless!

I had quite a bit of hair loss between 3 and 7 months. I still dyed my hair and I don't think the chemicals made it any worse.

I never stopped coloring my hair. I lost a bunch. It came back. I don't think coloring matters. Perms or relaxers might be an issue.

you could maybe do one of those wash that gray right out of your hair kinda things in the meantime if you are that worried about it.

Try a cellophane if you haven't used dye before.

I usually color my hair every 6-8 weeks (roots first, then all over for a few minutes to deposit color) and haven't had a problem with any extra falling out. I'd recommend going to Sally Beauty Supply over the drugstore so they can help you to find maybe a semi- or demi-permanent hair color that may be gentler than a permanent hair color. However, I use permanent color all the time and now that I'm gong on month 4 I am starting to lose some hair...but there is regrowth coming in already, and the hair color hasn't affected it at all.

Good luck! Post some pics after you color!

Ooo, wait until month 6, it's commit out in clumps. I'm taking biotin now!
