Sooooo painful!
Alright...I had my first "oh my gosh I ate too much and I'm in extreme pain" episode last night. Welcome to my first holiday season post op. We had "Friendsgiving" with several families. So much delicious food...I thought I was doing pretty good. I stayed with protein and had a little samosa - which is not traditional thanksgiving fair, but was so very yummy. But I was just nibbling a bit here and there. Then I shared a piece of pumpkin pie with my dd...I only had three bites. Then I ate half of a half of half of a piece of chocolate pecan pie - literally one bite. Doing fine. Thinking I've done too much by having dessert...but eh...I'll run tomorrow anyway...and it's Friendsgiving. So then we were cleaning up and I had the other bite of the half of the half of the half of the piece of chocolate pecan pie - the other bite.
OMG! I thought I was going to die. My stomach hurt so bad clear from my chest to my back and up my arm and I was sweating like ridiculous amounts. By the time we got home I was a mess. Nearly 2 hours later I was still crying in pain and finally was successful at forcing myself to throw up...that brought some relief...but man. This morning I felt like I wa**** by a bus.
I know I made a mistake...a good wake up call especially heading to the family events next. No more of this "grazing" thing.
I am sharing this with you all now because the only thing that kept me from calling 911 or heading to the hospital was knowing this was something that happens and I had heard about it and read about it and all...but I have never experienced it. IF you have avoided this...please do your best to continue to avoid it. It really, really hurts! I would venture to put the pain I was in last night on the level of labor pain I had with my first...and that was extreme!
But if you find yourself in this situation...don't panic...unless you're like super new...my "baby" is 8 months old now so it's a little tougher than a newbie.
Oh it hurt so bad.

I've had this happen 3 times and yes it is very painful. First time was with popcorn, second time I had 2 bites of pizza dough at the end of a meal and the last time was with bread. The last time it happened my husband suggested I try drinking some water to help flu**** out and thankfully it worked. It was a very painful lesson to learn. Popcorn, pizza dough and bread just isn't worth the pain.
