Dec. 15 was my two year surgiversary!
So much has changed in my life in the last two years. Surprisingly, the weight loss was the easy part, it was the new emotions that I'd never experienced that really changed me. If I were to go through this again, here is what I would've done differently:
NO ALCOHOL
LOVE yourself
Get counseling to guide you through the emotional changes you will experience
Remember that girls are *****es and they get *****ier once you are competition
Stay away from those who will bring you down.
Avoid restaurants when possible. Your eyes are bigger than your stomach and you don't realize it till you are laying down on the booth seat.
One more thing that I am still trying to accept, remember you are BEAUTIFUL and STRONG. This surgery changes you mentally and physically and sometimes it's hard to remember that on the inside, you are the same person.
Anyways, good luck to all of you on your weight loss journeys :)
You look FANTASTIC!

Wow, congratulations. You look like a totally different person. As a newbie, I can't thank you enough for posting this. I really appreciate your honesty. I look forward to my journey, but it is best to look at this from a wide perspective. Cracking up about the "laying down on the booth" thought! LOL!
Sweet !
