3 months? Gimme a break. I am 11 months out - always a slow loser . Have to battle for all of it. But I am doing all the right things  - calorie count, protein, zumba etc. Haven't lost weight in about 3 months. started at 235# - have made it to 186#. Thats great but there is still a lot of me and I want some more of it gone. I expected plateau**** one for about a month at 6 months. thats when I started going to Zumba and managed to lose about another 10#. Now I am at a dead standstill. What do  I do now?

If you post your typical menu, you'll get some responses based on what you are eating.  Also include how much water and protein you are getting.  Also note if you are measuring and tracking your food (if you aren't, that would be the first suggestion -- to make sure you know exactly what you are eating).

Starting weight: 260; Surgery Weight: 250; Month 1: -15.6; Month 2: -11.8; Month 3: -11.4;  Month 4: -7.4  Month 5: -8.6; Month 6: -3; Month 7 -3.8; Month 8 -7; Month 9: stall; Month 10: -4.4; Month 11: - 2.6; Month 12:-3.4

Linda, would you like for me to look at your food for about a week and give feedback? There is no way for me to help you without a great deal more information from you. I need to know how many calories you are eating, how much protein and how many grams of carbs. I need exact numbers, not estimates in order to help. At three months, I would say you are most likely not at a stall or plateau, you most likely have reached your maintenance level for this weight.

God I hope not. I was on one for 3 weeks lost a pound and now appear to be stalled again.

the smaller you get, the more calories you will need to burn off the fat/weight, especially when you didnt start at Super Obese sizes...    IMO, increase your calories/carbs by 25% for a week or 2 and see what happens....

Hey there--I don't have a solution but thanks for the note. I have the same numbers as you do: started at 235, was at 211 on surgery day, and now 7.5 weeks after surgery I'm down to 187. Other than the 10 pounds I lost during the week or so right after surgery, it's been slow for me too. But now I know I have to get to zumba-ing so that I'm still not here in six more months. Hope you sort it out, and let us know what worked for you.

It works if you work it; it sorta works if you sorta work it; and it doesn't work if you don't work it.

It must be something you are eating or not eating.  I was sleeved just 4 days after you, started at 243 lbs. and reached 135 in 9 months.  I have been in maintenance about 2 months now.  Can you give an example of what you eat daily?

I am so jealous! Here is a sample of a daily menu for me :

Breakfast : container greek yogurt with 1/4 cup grapenuts mixed in

snack - light cheese stick

lunch -   1/2 restaurant burrito bowl - chicken, beans,  veggies, cheese, 1 TBS guacamole  w/light dressing and a few nacho chips

snack - vitalicious 100 calorie high fiber muffin or an apple

dinner - 1/2 burrito bowl as above

snack - 1-2 weigh****cher fudge bars or 2 pcs babybel light cheese with 10-15  wheat thins

Tend to eat a bit more on  weekends -  may go out to dinner and splurge a little

I drink several glasses of water a day

do Zumba 2X week for an hour each and try to also walk 1 hour per week

I do sit at a desk all day - have fibromylgia and low thyroid function.
