Natures bounty optimal solutions??
Actually it isn't looking that good to me. Based on my nutritionist's guidelines it fails in 3 of the 4 areas.
1) 5g or less fat (it passes this at 1.5)
2) 5g or less carbs (fails at 9 net carbs)
3) 24g (give or take a couple) of protein per serving (fails at only 15g)
4) Whey protein (isolate preferred over blends or concentrates) (fails as it uses pea protein isolate, then whey protein concentrate and rice protein concentrate)
Overall I wouldn't recommend this over the About Time (SDC Nutrition) brand that is all natural 100% Whey Protein Isolate with only four ingredients. The whey protein isolate, xanthan gum (thickener), natural flavors, and stevia. Not only is this a great product but it comes in tons of flavors from strawberry, chocolate, vanilla, chocolate peanut butter, peanut butter, peaches and creme, birthday cake, mocha mint, cinnamon swirl, banana, and unflavored.
I do realize that everyone has different guidelines provided to them but I think that most will recommend a whey protein over other varieties. I think the body uses it better than the other ones similar to how calcium citrate is recommended over calcium carbonate.
Good Luck.
