Getting in touch with my current body size

Wow.  That's what I'm worried about.  Don't know what the next 20 will bring.  I'm slowing down with the purchases but I'm sure I'll have to kick up again come summer.  I'm going to have a heck of a tax writeoff for the year though with all the clothes between 5x and mediums.

Congrats!! it takes a long while to get in tune with how you really look.. I still can't seem to do it!

People also will see you as smaller and closer to goal that you likely do- they too are taking it all in, and the changes we go through are so fast, and so drastic that even for them, it takes a bit.. but they settle down too- so take your goal to whatever point you feel looks good, and most importantly feels good & healthy for you, their eyes will catch up someday too.

I am baking today in my super baggy-butt size 8 jeans. These are so big that if someone hooked a finger on them they'd fall off my hips,  no need to unbutton.. but they are comfy.  When I put on jeans that fit- I still see myself as chubby, not fat- but that I have more to go.. and I don't, at all. It's just a constant head-trip that you do need to watch out for so you stay in a healthy range, as it is easy to dip a little too low.

I've really made it to "pretty healthy" so now it is all about feeling comfortable in my skin.  I can't wait until I feel good making the choice to go baggy!  Hard to believe how far I've come and now to think I have to actually about the low end.  Feels great!

I think I'm a few months ahead of where you are - I've finally started to make peace and feel 'normal' wearing smalls (5'10").  There's even times, with some vendors like Eddie Bauers, that the small is too big!  I can definitely empathize with the weird feeling you have.

I went into this surgery thinking "it would be great to get back to XLs, and larges would be amazing if that worked out" - and here I am in smalls!  Ain't life a hoot?

What a hoot it is!  I can't get over the fact I can walk into a store and just buy something.  I used to worry when on business travel that if I had a coffee spill or something that I'd never find a place to get a shirt.  This is one of the huge benefits that have reduced my stress level more than I even thought it would.

The "problem" I have now is I have a huge variety of stores and fashion to choose from.  Before, you just bought the few things that happen to fit (XXL) at the department store... or worse, dress like a retired Flordian refugee if you shopped at Casual Male XL.

Now I'm having to learn fashion!

The Casual Male I used to shop at just went out of business. Think it was 'cause I stopped going there? Lol

It's a head trip right! It's crazy. I still go for the large first (and I am always a small or xsmall now). EVERY.SINGLE.TIME I try something on I say "This isn't going to fit" and am shocked that it goes right on, and I have been pretty much in this size for almost a year. It takes a while, but congrats, enjoy it!

My most surreal moment came when I was looking for my favorite pair of leggings, and realized that my 10 year old daughter was wearing them LOL It is so satisfying every time they slip on, amen to that!
