Feeling pretty good.  Not exactly sure how I'll fit in the 64 oz but am just trying to sip slowly all day.  Up about 4 lbs (I assume in water weight), so looking forward to seeing the scale go down again soon. :)

Dr. C also repaired a hietal hernia.

Worst part was that my surgery got pusedh from 11 to around 3, and I hadn't eaten anything since around 7 p.m. on Chrismtas day (clear fluids) and had had no liquids since around 10 p.m. the 27th.  I was starving and thirsty!!

Walking whenever I'm awake and not drinking. :)

Hard to believe I really did it!

Congrats.  I also had surgery the 26th.  The dry mouth was the worst!  I just cleaned my kitchen (hadn't been done properly since I left) and I am feeling dizzy now.  Trying to sip on some soy milk.

Feel well!

I had the procedure done on 12/28/12; I struggled with the band for two years. Glad I finally got the sleeve done. I weighed myself at home before going in - I weighed 294.6. I weighed myself this Morning and I gained five pounds, now I weigh 299.6. Not what I expected since my intake has been little or nothing. The dry throat was the worst. I'm working on getting a protein shake down.

I know what you mean - I went in for surgery at 323 and when I came home, I weighed 339 - BP went sky high and I ended up on diuretics - was a scary first week.  But once I got rid of the water weight - lbs started dropping.  Good luck - the first three weeks are the hardest.

Congratulations!  You might want to set yourself a goal of drinking a shot glass of liquid every 15 min.

I made myself a goal of drinking a 1/4 cup (2 oz) of water every 15 minutes during my drinking periods. When I stuck to that I was getting in 64 oz of water a day by 3 days post op. Might work for you, too.

Congrats on a successful surgery! Dr. C is awesome!

Congrats on your surgery!  Dr. C had to repair a surprise hietal hernia in me too!

The drinking definitely gets easier after months.  I can drink as fast now as I did before surgery.

Good luck and listen to Gabriella!
