Has anyone had an iron infusion? I will need one

Mine took about five hours. Sat in a recliner with a blanket and book and relaxed. Sadly, in the same room with cancer patients getting chemo. I counted my blessings. I didn't feel super energized after, but I did feel more stamina and interest in doing more. Probably have to have another one in a year as my numbers did not go up as much as doctor hoped.

Yes-I will be at an oncology center so I will be feeling the same way-very blessed.

Wow--5 hours!! Relaxing with a book sounds pretty awesome. I'm always on the go so I rarely have time to just relax! This may be a weird question but-were you able to take a restroom break? I don't think I can go 5 hours without one-lol!

Thank you so much for your help!

Thank you so much for your help! I see a doctor on Monday to deal with this issue specifically so I will ask about an iron study. I've never heard of that. Good information!!

Sending hugs and prayers for your daughter.

I always drive myself, it depends on how it affects you. I have a very high tolerance so a lot of drugs that makes you sleepy doesn't on me.
