I am approved after 4 days from Humana, for a Band Revision to a Sleeve, or RNY my choice. I must be in worst shape than I think for them to approve that fast. LOL. Yes I know about the DS but my insurance does not pay and my doctor does not do it so I am happy with whatever Dr. Oldham and I decide the band just did not work.
Yeah! I had to work hard to get my band to sleeve revision. I had to get the band out before I could even apply to the insurance for the sleeve. Our insurance went to a once in a life time WLS policy. It didn't mater how bad a shape I was in, they just gave me the OK for band removal due to medical problems. I had to fight for additional surgery.
BAND REMOVED 9-4-12-fought insurance to get sleeve and won! Sleeved 1/22/13! Five years out and trying to get that last 15 pounds back off.
