Where are you in your post op diet? Are you just starting with your soft diet? I got that early on when I started on real food and it happened if I ate too much or too fast. Even now 2 1/2 years post op I can still get it if I m not careful. Also be careful about eating or drinking before going to bed. I like to have a glass of crystal lite by my bedside but have to take no more then 7 swallows or it will come back up when I lie down (I know TMI). There is also something else that can happen early on called foamies again from eating too much or too fast and you actually spit up like a baby.

I had a fudgesicle & Popsicle before hitting the sack...that probably did it. It's been a good day today. Lesson learned.

I experienced something similar, and it turned out that I had a hernia. When I'd have the terrible pain and vomiting, my small intestine was getting caught in the hernia. Fortunately, each time it slipped loose in a few minutes. The longest time was about 45 minutes, and I was ready to go to the ER by the time it slipped loose.
