Restriction

I'm 8 days post-op, is it weird that since yesterday I seem to have more restriction than I did my whole first week? I now have to take smaller sips and get the hiccups often, and also feel this fullness in my esophogeous. Is that normal? I have a bit of pain under my right color bone sometimes which I'm assuming is still gas from surgery.
Any thoughts? Does this seem normal? I will ask my doc on Monday at my follow up appt.

I talked to my doctor, he wasn't concerned and said it's a good sign that I'll have good restriction.  He advised me to take a PPI and I did so we'll see if that helps.  Other than that, I'm very very slowly sipping.

Good luck on your new journey! Glad you got your questions answered. I know that I had many questions the first 4 weeks and I actually found my answers on this website pretty quickly. Make sure you are following everything that your dr. tells you to do and you will be fine.
