I fear the people who commented helpfully won't see this, because we have such high traffic here, but just in case--when I posted that I was thinking about going off all my meds and starting over (under a doctor's care, mind you) y'all were helpful, supportive and--I didn't do it.  Went ahead and refilled my meds. I still want to, but don't have a clue as to which doctor to use. I have a gastro and so technically he should control the acid-blocker meds, right? But I want somebody who can look at the whole me and say, "yes, using the antidepressent is working" or "maybe you need more D3 instead" or... I dunno, whatever.  And I am not particularly confident about a nutritionist being able to make those calls, either.  Anyway, I just confused myself and so am not doing it, in case anybody is curious.

This morning I felt the need for some veggies out of my garden. This time last year I wondered if I'd be able to continue to eat fresh veggies out of my brand new garden post-sleeve. Well, yes, I can. This morning I picked some baby kale, broccoli, and other greens and chopped up with green onion tops and chives. Added a small sweet red pepper. Probably was about a 1/2 cup all together, but you know how greens melt down. This is how my egg ended up looking.

Less than a third cup when all cooked. I got my hit of veggies but didn't count them because by weight there just wasn't enough to count. That's a small ice cream bowl, by the way. I am so glad I have several of those. They are the main thing I eat out of post-sleeve because they hold small amounts of Greek yogurt, cottage cheese, stew, etc. without the food looking lost in them.

That looks great! As far as the meds go, if you have a good primary care doctor, he/ she shoul be able to coordinate all your meds. Good luck.

I think I have a good PCP so eventually I will go and let him get a handle on it. Thanks.

If I couldn't nibble from my garden and eat veggies I'd be a very sad sleever.  On the other hand, I am very much a meat eater so the requirement to eat mainly protein will never be a hardship.

I am jealous that you have a garden at this time of year.  I am just getting some seedlings to pop up in my tiny greenhouse.  I mainly plant tomatoes and some peppers and herbs.  I don't have much room.  I live in an area where there are lots of farmers markets in the summer, which I love.

I love the farmers markets, too.

We have two summer seasons, in a way. The heat of the summer is so blistering not much grows. So when some people are harvesting lots of stuff from our gardens mine has given up the ghost until it begins to cool down in September.
