Eating more is scary now

I've now realized that I can eat about 3 oz. I am managing to get in all of my proteins and fluids, so it's not really a problem. Actually, it's a good thing because I can start eating my leafy greens again. It's just a territory that scares me. I assume the swelling has gone down, and I know it's completely normal to be able to eat a bit more as time goes on. I'm just a bit nervous about it. I have this irrational fear that once I can eat more, I'm going to stop losing. Like I said, irrational. I still manage under 40 carbs (20 on a great day), 90 grams of protein, 70-100 oz of water, and I'm staying under 800 calories a day. Someone smack the fear out of me! lol

Smack!!  Haha kidding..I understand your fear and I'm only 6 weeks out.  I've been in a stall for the last week and half and have been trying to increase my protein to hopefully break it.  But, I get scared out of my mind  when my calories rise above 500. Like I've just over ate, and that's why I'm not losing weight.  Totally irrational.   You got this, just always have to monitor our intake, and make sure we're putting all good things in our mouths..we'll be ok!

Hi!

It's not as much irrational as normal. I have been worried abt this many times, for many reasons. I myself never go above my 2.3-3oz at meal time. I find that FOR ME, it's three things with intake...protein first, fresh veggies or fruit 2nd...but in very controled amts, and water water water. I have been lucky to not so much hit real stalls, but slow down of loss. After 2 weeks of slow loss, I notice all of a suddwn a two lb loss in a week.

If you stay the course, and try to occupy your mind with all the wonderful changes in your life since VSG, and all the NSV's you've seen so far..then you focus less on numbers...stay on plan, and then the scale will reward your hard work.

Keep your head up and as long as YOU know you are sticking to your Surgeon and NUTs plan...you will continue to see success.

You're doing super great!!! Be proud of yourself!!!!

Peace
