NSV--"Holy ****" moment!
It has been at least two decades since I have been able to shop in the regular women's dept. Friday, I stopped by Old Navy because I'd seen an ad for cute dresses and thought I could at least get an idea of whether I liked one on me or not and then order my size online (since Old Navy hates fat people and only sells plus sizes online).
The eyelet dress (which I'd gone to try), fit in a size 16, but it wasn't super flattering (no darts, squished my boobs down and they looked weird). So I took a variety of dresses in size XXL to the dressing room. All too big. Size XL was a little loose. I walked out with a size L dress!!!!
I know part of it was that the dress was of a knit material, and part of it was the cut (I am pear-shaped), but still.
I am officially claiming this victory!!! When I put it on tonight for a party I'm attending, I'll take a pic to post. :)
This was just the pick-me-up I needed after a less-than-stellar meeting with my surgeon's PA on Wednesday.
