I know I am not where everyone on my team would like to see me this month, but I am pleased with my progress. I survived a mom's weekend away and a school fundraiser at Buca di Beppo this month and fine. If I had to sum up the lessons from this month, it would be that I have to live in the real world and find balance. As a whole, now that I know I missed the "60 lbs in 3 months" thing, I have to say I've relaxed considerably. Not in eating/tracking, but in expecting more from my body than it is going to give me. I do what I do, it does what it does, and we see where we are at the end of the month.
Excuse my wet hair. :)
Pre-op at 253 size 24/22, today at 191.2 in size 14 shorts from Old Navy!!
I'm pretty sure the top of my stomach will have to be surgically removed, but still--not a bad difference!
As a whole, I'm happy that I had the VSG although it requires more diligence on my part than I anticipated. There are a few foods I miss but overall I am happy with what fits into my plan. Dining out is still a challenge but I just do the best I can when it has to happen. I loved firing Lane Bryant and getting rid of clothes as I shrink out of them. I love how much more fit I am. I had to rearrange my dresser because I have an entire drawer of workout clothes!! I'm also less self-conscious as a whole and feel much more "normal." I used to think everyone saw me and thought "look at that fat woman." Now I think they don't notice my appearance one way or the other. :)

Congrats! You are one of the hardest workin' girls in Show Biz!
I am like you - I have diastasis recti from my last pregnancy -- it looks like a half of a basketball is right under my breasts. I also had two C-sections that destroyed my stomach - total and complete and permanent Muffin Top from the stretched out skin. There is no doubt I must have plastic surgery. I can relate. It is a little frustrating, but at least when we have surgery we will be skinny everywhere else! Let's trade notes on who to go to for plastics!
