I also know of de curry. Went to one of his seminars years ago. I have heard of a couple that both had the surgery and swear that they did everything they were told for 8 months and were down a considerable a month of weight. Husband ended up in hospital for 7 days and was septic something to do with stomach. The wife also was in hospital for stomach. A while later. Research your surgeons people.
septic has pneumonia leak in her sleeve perforated bowel and possible chest wall my baby is sick and in ICU
The leaky Sleeve is the least of her worries, imo.
This is a reminder in listening to your body, being proactive with your health, drinking lots of water and advocating for yourself when something doesn't feel right. I have a hard time believing all of those things happened in one day.
Prayers for the mom and her baby.
I call BS, something else happened that is not in that story. I am guessing binge eating or she gorged herself or forced vomiting, something like that. I will bet if there was some intense follow up more to the story would come out.
I am no doctor but I understand anatomy and scarring and either there was always a leak that somehow managed to keep the food inside or she did something to cause the leak.
There is not enough information here to even make an educated guess whether it is surgeon erroor or user error or it just happened.
We don't know what kind of lifestyle she was leading. Was she smoking? drinking? Both those things can weaken the tissues and anything can happen. Was she taking her vits? There is not enough info here to make a real opinion for or against.
I,personally,am not worried. I know I am doing everything I can to keep my sleeve healthy and that is all I can do.
