Waiting for a call about gallstones and my liver...
Had an ultrasound yesterday. Even though no liver enzymes show up when I'm experiencing pain (have had blood drawn twice during episodes) my ultrasound showed gallstones. No surprise there, eh? I'm waiting to see what the gastro says.
OTOH, the tech found heterogeneous areas on my liver, which she said might be fatty deposits left from before my VSG... and she said it's highly possible the doc will want a closer look at those areas.
So while I twiddle my thumbs and wait to hear more, I'm open to any experiences, advice or jokes (anybody got good jokes) you have to share!
Forgot to say: When I got there I found out that I wasn't supposed to have eaten prior. I told her I'd had greek yogurt and coffee. She glanced down and said, "You're thin. There probably won't be a problem. We'll go ahead and do it."
I'm thin.
It's official!!!!
YAY on being thin! Sucks about the gallstones though! I'm waiting for the results of a HIDA scan -- which doesn' show the stones, but measures the function.
My surgeon is leaving the practice at the end of June for additional training in plastics, I think. And I really wanted him to do surgery, if I needed it.
So, I'm with ya sister. Sitting around twiddling my thumbs, waiting for the test results.
Best I can do for jokes today:
Did you know tomorrow is Star Wars Day? May the fourth be with you!
