2 weeks out and not in ketosis!! Suggestions.....
I'm sure you already know what I'm going to say, but what the heck..... Cut those carbs now. don't wait. Get as much weight off as quickly as possible as YOU can. Don't compare yourself with others. This is a personal thing not a race against invisible cyber friends.
The thing about the 6 month honeymoon is not all that accurate. You can still lose plenty of weight after 6 months, BUT the first six months for MOST people is the easiest time during which to lose weight. Take full advantage of it. You don't have to have 800 calories a day. You'll do fine on 500-600 per day for the next month or two. Keep those carbs down to 20 or 30 or even 40 at the most and you should lose just fine. Get plenty of water and exercise and stick to a healthy eating plan and you'll get there.
I'm 18 months out and being on only 800 calories a day now would be very difficult. It would be like dieting again. Use the gift of these next few months to your full advantage. Just my two cents.......

When was your sugery? For the first 4 1/2 months, I ate no more than 600 calories. My nutritionist told me no more than 40 grams of carbs, no more than 30 grams of fat and 60-80 grams of protein each day. Shakes was the best way to get in the protein and feel full. I'm 5 and 1/2 months out and just now at the 800-850 calorie mark and still doing protein first. Check with your nutritionist and your surgeon. Good luck to you.

My surgeon used a 38 loosely sewn according to the operative report. He told me that my capacity was about 2 oz right after surgery. Now it must be about 4-5 oz in total. If I just eat dense protein I can not go over 3 oz ever. And I don't even try as 2.5-3 keeps me very satisfied.

The not full feeling will change when you start eating solid food. I'd stick to shakes and protein pudding recipes until you get to the soft/pureed stage. Then you can add Greek yogurt and cottage cheese, etc. but definitely watch your carb and fat intake. Become a label reader. I don't put anything in my mouth without knowing the nutrition facts and tracking it as well. I track on Myfitnesspal. You can customize your calories, carbs and fat. It's free and has more foods listed than the tracker on this site. I began my tracking on this site though because it had everything I ate at the beginning.
