Feeling down today?
I am, I think because I'm overwhelmed and busy with end-of-school-year stuff, my kids keep getting older and there's nothing I can do about that, and the scale is refusing to budge, denying me the right to say I now weigh what I weighed when I graduated from high school (damned scale).
SO, join me, won't you, in making a list of GOOD things to try to break the grumpy mood!
- No matter what the scale says, I look much better than ever in my adult life.
- Today another mom at school said she was going to nickname me "shrinky dink" because every time she sees me I am smaller. :)
- It is the last day of school! Vacation is almost here!
- We are going to San Diego for an event this weekend, and it should be fun.
- My husband is home from a business trip, so we can firm up our vacation plans for later this summer.
- My housekeeper is coming tomorrow. I get to have a housekeeper.
- I am almost finished with week 3 of Zombie Couch to 5K. Even though I'm not convinced I enjoy running, I do feel accomplished for sticking with it (and since I signed up for a 5K in Sept., I kind of have to).
- I cut out cheese for a week and it did not impact my weight loss, so I guess I can add it back in!
- I get a mom's night out tonight at a nail salon with great friends, and am trying gel nails for the first time.
Seriously, why am I grumpy. All this stuff is awesome, and just because I'm busy and the scale is not cooperating I get all upset? I will now go get a life!!

Boy do I need this thread today. I am super grumpy.
I now fit in my wedding rings for the first time in 7 or 8 years
My beautiful 18 year old daughter is graduating from hs Saturday, and got a really good summer job.
My middle daughter brought home a guy WHO HAS A JOB!!! LOL
My hubby has lost so much weight since I had surgery that he has had to get all new clothes.
Half of my town is without electric today, but we have electric at my house
I now wear 14 petite pants!!!
I didn't eat any of the cookies at work today.
I really want to eat something off plan, but i am not going to
I need to do this every day

Wow, you both have such nice lists of good things in your life! I'll add a few.
My kids are grown and thriving.
My grand-kids are healthy.
Today I was able to eat 3 oz of protein at one meal - signaling the tummy is healing. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel in terms of returning to normal eating.
It was a beautiful day here and I got to spend some time with my best friend.
My exercise regimen is getting easier - I'm getting stronger and healthier every day.
Who could ask for anything more!
