Vitamin Water Zero

Haven't anyone say anything about Vitamin Water Zero. Are these a good choice? They are full of vitamins and you can put a scoop of unflavored protein powder in them to get all around nutrition. I've read the label and don't see anything terrible about them except maybe that they have Stevia but i'm not sure how bad that is for you.

Thoughts???

I drink maybe one a week.  I mix a 1/2 bottle with some Syntrax Roadside Lemonade protein powder.   Nice change from water, but I couldn't drink too many.   I don't drink it for the vits and minerals.

I've used them from the beginning.  I usually dilute them with water, because they're just too sweet for me out of the bottle.

Word of caution, they are not really zero calories.  The entire bottle is about 45 calories, if memory serves.  They get away with calling it zero because they show each bottle as 2 or 2 1/2 servings, and that puts the calorie count into the "minimal" category.  The FDA allows companies to call anything with "minimal" calories as "zero."  Same is true of many of the so-called zero calories drinks/foods.  Look at the label.  If there are carbs, there are calories!

Just thought I would mention that of all of the sweeteners out there Stevia is the only one other than the newer Monk Fruit extract that is all natural.  Don't even get me started on how bad aspartame is.  Splenda is close to being natural as they remove a molecule or 2 and place in a molecule or 2 to regular sugar to make it.  Basically it is derived from sugar and manipulated a little bit.

In my opinion as far as sweeteners go I would choose the Stevia or Monk Fruit extract as first choice, Splenda as second choice, and nothing else as third choice meaning that either I use one of those three or I don't drink or eat it sweetened.  There may be something else out there that I am not aware of but right now these are the most visible on the market.

The Monk Fruit extract can be found in a product called Nectresse.
