We have a few Cracker Barrels here and yes, they are FANTASTIC.  They have a low-carb menu that I love, so I find it STILL a great place to go as long as I can pass on the biscuits that my fiance gets!  LOL

Love all of these comments! I do love Cracker Barrel too. I order the chicken tenderloins or the grilled fish without extra oil and with a salad or green beans or baked sweet potato--it IS 2 or more meals! I do love the southern-type foods, but good choices are what keep the weight off. (Sometimes I make 'em and sometimes I don't!)

With Golden CorraL, you can graze and graze and really get in trouble! Since I am a "fat-head", I have no realization about portions without scales and measuring cups. In an environment where I'd serve myself, I get in trouble. (Dumping, nausea and worse!)

Guess we each have to learn our own way of dealing with WLS and healthy eatiing.

Cracker Barrel is ridiculous!!!  I used to love the biscuits and gravy - so, so delicious.  I think the richness would make me sick now.

Glad you enjoyed it!!!

I was there  for breakfast this past weekend, as we were out of town, and hubby wanted to go there. I'm 20 # from goal. I was unaware they have low carb there. They have small portion breakfasts for around $4. I ordered the bacon/hash brown breakfast. I ate 2 pieces of bacon and a few bites of potatoes. While the potatoes aren't low carb, the bacon was protein and I did not overeat. There were a lot worse choices I could have gotten. I rarely eat there ,but, will check out the low carb choices next time.

Hi.  I am 4 yrs post op, on maintenance and I absolutely love Cracker Barrel.  I ALWAYS request a 'to-go box' to come with my meal.  I would share with hubby as we often do, just not at Cracker Barrel (his choice).
