Well, after my body composition analysis yesterday I'm not sure how much stock I place in BMIs, but it still makes me absurdly happy that today, I am FINALLY merely "overweight."  BMI is 29.8.  :)

I totally hear you....congrats!  No matter how you feel about the BMI's, it has to be awesome still to feel "normal" lol!  You are doing fabulous!

Congrats! I'm with you on the whole BMI thing, but I completely get being over the moon happy about being in the overweight category!

I'm still bitter about never getting to a "normal" BMI (my issue, I know) and even more about my doc not being really okay with it, but then telling a fellow VSGer I know here on OH that she had reached their expectations for weight loss and her BMI was exactly the same as mine and she was a woman.

Think I have some issues around this?! blush LOL!

Do you think getting a body scan would help? Or did you already do that? B/c unless Dr. C has information I don't know that will justify me going lower, I will likely be ok stopping before a healthy bmi as long as my % of body fat is healthy. 9% more to go!

I think sometimes we all get stuck seeing people the way we see them based on past experience, and doctors are not immune to that.  I am in the "doesn't really eat on plan, argues with us when we try to help her, doesn't lose enough" category, even though really if you look at my numbers that's not the case.  And either that will change or it won't, but I'll just keep on keeping on, trying to make use of the data available to me and the knowledge and experience of those around me. :)

Sarah congratulation!  I know how you feel as I hit it myself a little bit ago.

My real goal isn't "normal bmi" either.

BAND REMOVED 9-4-12-fought insurance to get sleeve and won! Sleeved 1/22/13! Five years out and trying to get that last 15 pounds back off.
