So today I passed out at the Y.

The positives:  I got to see cute paramedics, my blood pressure was awesome, my blood sugar level was actually fine, and the Y staff got to practice their emergency procedures.

I love this! What a great silver-lining attitude--and what is it about paramedics that they are all so cute?

I'm glad everything is okay!

I love the fact that you can see the plus side of it (seeing the cute paramedics and that you learned a good lesson from the episode)!

You've got to stay hydrated. I have learned to carry my water with me pretty much where ever I go. It's become habit. Also, 160 calories prior to such a long workout may just not be enough to hold you through. I will be very interested in what Gabriella has to say. Please let me know. I really believe she has a handle on the whole losing weight & still fueling your body for exercise thing.

See you next week!

I always carry my water bottle everywhere in the gym so that I'm never without. In fact most at our gym carry around those gallon milk jugs filled with water. When I work out hard I don't pass out but I do throw up. We have boot camps every Sunday at 4pm and have been doing them outside, between the workout and the heat I have thrown up every week... everyone is use to it now and they leave me alone when they see I'm headed to the bushes...

I do agree with another poster about the carbs before a workout and the protein afterwards, that's what my trainer requires. Without the carbs to help fuel you it's hard to make it through and intense workout. I still keep my daily intake low but the carbs I eat are taken in about an hour before my workout.
