What's Your Workout Today VSGers? - Friday!
I have a double workout today since I missed chest and shoulders, so today will look something like this:
- Bench Press (4 sets of 10 reps)
- Squats (4 sets of 10 reps)
- Shoulder Press (4 sets of 10 reps)
- Standing Row (4 sets of 10 reps)
- Leg Extensions (4 sets of 10 reps)
- Lat Pulldown (4 sets of 10 reps)
- Tricep Pushdown (4 sets of 10 reps)
- Seated Row (4 sets of 10 reps)
- Barbell Curls (4 sets of 10 reps)
- Dumbbell Curls (2 sets of 10 reps)
Skipping Calf Raises today
Not sure about the order of things, I have to think it through a bit so I don't over work any particular area, need to switch it up.
really looking forward to regualr cardio and strength training again. Between my Hernia operation in May and now my plastics last week - I feel like a tree sloth even though I am making sure I walk or do some light cardio every day and some lower body/core strength training (simple squats, etc).
Besides that - I can't freaking wait to try this new body out in a pool!

How long after your plastic surgery do you have to wait until you think you'll be able to do strength / resistance training?? I cannot imagine having the kind of surgery you had! Eeek! LOL!

OMW! No amount of willpower (or plastics) in the world will make me look like her!!!
Feeling pretty darn good about myself. Have been out of the gym for a couple weeks with a knee thing and was planning on slowly easing back into it. Saw a post from Keith here a few days ago about excuses and was like, you know what, this is a ******g excuse. So back I went this week, full tilt. And I feel great.
Can't go to the gym today. Not an excuse, my gym has childcare Mon-Thurs. so I get my 3 weekly workouts during that timeframe. But, I'm feeling so good about my choice to return and not fall off the proverbial bandwagon that I'm going to do what I can IN THE OFFICE today!!! That's right. I'm going in an empty office, taking my heels off and I'm going to do squats, lunges and crunches (hehe, would do jumping jacks, but I'm on the second floor...). Booyah!!!
I am finally able to pay the fee at the rec center. Today will be my first work out in a while. It is too hot outside to walk and the heat makes me ill. So I am going to use the elliptical machine as my incisions are not healed enough to get in the pool. Also I am not able to do weight training yet, but as soon as I get clearance for that I will work it in as well.
