Boy my legs hurt

Hello everyone,

I have been walking like a maniac since last Thursday when I saw the NUT and the exercise therapist.  They want me walking and eating right until I have surgery.  Don't have a date yet but I want to make them proud.  I'm taking my hour lunch break and walking 30 minutes on a treadmill then showering and heading back to work.  When I get home I go again.  Doing real well on my diet and clothes are getting looser.  I've also cut way back on insulin.  I want to thank all of you who are vets who encourage people like me everyday.  I can't tell you how much you motivate me to beat this fat once and for all.  God bless you all!

Wow.  Sounds like you are doing great.  This early prep will really help you succeed in the long run.  Great job!

Good for you! Glad you have such a great mindset!

This post caught my eye because my ABS HURT today! Trainer got tough with me last night, lol.

You might find that Keith L's daily workout thread is a great way to post your efforts and successes too.

Keep up the good work!

Keep up the awesome job! The healthier you are prior to surgery the faster you'll heal and be able to get back to a good activity level and hit your goals. Don't let anything set you back. It may hurt your legs a little but it's making your heart and body way healthier every step you take! Good luck and we'll be watching your progress!

Good for you!  Starting now will help you after surgery.  You are probably just using muscles you haven't used for a while.  Don't over do it but keep moving and they will start feeling better soon.
