Nothing to drink ALL day the day of surgery????

Honestly, I thought this was a bigger deal at the time as well. Not really as much after surgery. However, once I was in my room and situated, I was requesting the ice cup with the sponge stick...that thing will be your bff. I got yelled at for sucking on it, but damn it my mouth and lips were dry and my husband had my damn chapstick!

You will be ok, promise!

My doctor did the leak test in the OR so I didn't have to worry about that, thank goodness! I love my water too but right after my surgery, I had to force myself to drink. The next day, I was doing better with getting the fluids down. 

I was not allowed anything by mouth the day of surgery until after I was out of recovery.  My leak test was done in the OR.  Also, you will be given an IV so you won't get dehydrated.  Maybe they can give you a lemon swab for your mouth to prevent dryness?

Using Dr. Kim in Colleyville. Not crazy about him having several bill boards around town, but his is supposed to be one of the best.

Today is my 3rd day on the liquid diet. Been feeling pretty good until today, no sleep, still gaging at night.

I really thought that being on the clear liquids would hlep with the reflux, but no.

My band, aka, the demon is still talking to me in the middle of the night. My husband can hear it.

Suppose to go to the movies, so this will be a challenge NOT having popcorn.
