Hi, everyone - I posted my 90 day blog this week. There is a lot of stuff in it including pre-and current photos, so rather than repost everything here, I thought I'd just provide the link for you here:

Wow.   That's a nice change to see already in just 90 days.  Keep up the good work.  You'll be at goal in no time!

Loved reading about your progress and seeing your pics. Wonderful work. I related to much of what I read. I never thought I was invisible until I lost 105 pounds and now am suddenly becoming visible. It's interesting to me yet makes me sad that this occurs.

Thank you for sharing. I am less than a week out and DREAM of eating again. My surgeon had a very long,  strict pre-op diet! I am always curious as to what others are eating. Would you mind letting be your friend on myfitnesspal? I am pr3728 in mfp. Thank you.

I added you as a friend on MFP!

I, too, was on a really restrictive post op diet. It felt like one of the most restrictive of anyone here:
2 weeks clear liquids
2 weeks full liquids
2 weeks pureed
2 weeks soft

Finally, by week 8 I got to a regular diet. The most rewarding transition, I think, was from clear liquids to full liquids because my taste buds were ecstatic. Also, the day I discovered that French Onion soup was a clear liquid if I strained out the goodies was a really good day for me. It tasted sooooooooo good.

I got through the post op diet by reminding myself that the reason I was on it was to rest that incision line in my stomach, and that it really was for my own health and welfare to follow that diet to a T. Because we still have all of our valves (pyloric chief among them), we build up pressure in our stomachs. Liquids pass through more easily/at a lower pressure than solids, and so all of the post op liquids keep it low pressure for as long as possible.

Stick with it! Time will pass quickly! How are you feeling otherwise?

Laurie - LOVED reading your blog posting!  You already look so much younger, more radiant for sure.  And I love that you're a numbers geek and posted your progress on labs, measurements, sizes, etc.  Love that stuff!

Can't wait to read the post when you get to "overweight" - it's coming fast!  Congrats on all your hard work and success.  angry
