The bumpy line
I was taken by two things:
1. how consistent the overall slope is (my high school math and science teachers could have worked with this)
2. how bumpy it is
My takeaway is that this is a powerful reminder of the fact that weight loss isn't linear or predictable on a day to day basis, but when you take a step back and look at the big picture, it is actually extremely linear and predictable.
I have been doing better at staying off the scale, and this just reinforces it.
Happy Saturday, y'all!
Here is the image. Hopefully it will decide to display nicely for me this morning:

Sleeved 6/12/13 - 100 pounds lost to get to goal!
Seeing that graphic made a big difference for me, too. We can get so focused on what we're doing from one day to the next that we forget to see the big picture. It showed me that I really was losing weight at a regular pace, and how far I'd come. I back it up to show as much as I can right from the beginning. I always go there when I need inspiration or perspective.

Hi,
thank for posting this. I think it is so important for people to step back and look at the big picture. It is so easy to get discouraged with the bumps in the weight loss graph when actually, they are not the real story.
Congratulations on losing 70 pounds in months. That's a job well done.
best wishes,
Carol
