My dr. would like me to get down to 130 just to help with regain/maintenance. I'm listening to him because he seems to know what he's doing, although I have no idea where the weight will come from (if not skin) at this point.
I did another body comp last night and am down to 20.9% body fat.
I can NOT believe this is me. I have size 4 pants in my closet. I own boots. I go to exercise classes and kick booty. My arms are amazing (other than the batwings).
If you are thinking about having WLS, I really encourage you to do it. This has been a really powerful and empowering experience. I'm a bit intimidated at the idea of venturing into maintenance because I feel like I know how to eat for weight loss (even though I've been hanging out around 135 for a while now--lowest was 133.8, but I think I was dehydrated). But maintenance is kind of scary.
Fortunately, I have a great support group and plenty of vets to help me, plus a kick-ass RD. :)
Honest question, not fishing for compliments--
When I look at this picture, I feel like I look better in month 9 (about 5 lbs heavier) than in month 10.
However, I do not trust my own perception since I used to think I looked ok in pictures and now when I see them I'm like 'holy crap, look how fat I was!!".
So--be honest. Do I look too thin in this month's pic, or is it just the way I'm standing or something?
You questioned a few things......but you never wavered off.....
I saw the whole thing.......
I'm very proud of you !!!!

Sarah - You look MARVELOUS! No, I don't think you look better in month 9 than month 10. I honestly don't think you look "too thin". If I did, I promise I would say so. But looking at your pics makes me thing that you lost some height too. Your head isn't coming up to the same level in month 10 as in month 1, 2, and 3 - ha!
Someone told me the other day that they think I'm shrinking in height too -- my doctor's height chart says different ;-)
Wow! Congrats--you have done a FANTASTIC job and look marvelous. As to the 5 lbs, I can't see much difference, but I do know that things will rearrange themselves over the next few months of maintenance. I looked a little gaunt for a while but that settles out. After a few months of maintenance, see how you feel and look and then, if need be, add some weight back. But I bet your body will rearrange itself...

You have done FABULOUS!!! Great work and the pix tell the story! I think you like the next to last picture because you're actually a "closet case" HA! But really, this is a personal & subjective thing as to where you want to stop and what you want your final weight to be. Whatever you decide that is, go for and maintain it! Great job!
