Sustainability........Muscle Mass.....!!!!
Yes.......strength training to build muscle mass works....... more muscle burns more calories..... yes !!!!!
When ever I see posts about avoiding plastics because "I'm gonna work out and build muscle under my skin"
For one.... that's a lot of muscle to build/replace the fat........you sure you even want that????
Here is the reality....... sustainability........ once you build muscle mass do you think it stays forever ?????
What do you think happens to built muscle if it is not maintained....... goes back to mush.....
Now, sustaining "tone" is very much sustainable......... you can do that in your living room.
Again, don't get me wrong...... exercise and fitness are always a good thing and is one of the the things in life that more seems to be better.
Just saying....... I think the majority of us need to acquire physical activities that are sustainable for the long haul.
Stay active..... eat well !!!

My son lost 200 lbs with the rny - he was 20 at the time. No exercise in the world would have taken away his extra skin. He had the plastic surgery. None of these surgeries should be taken as easy. Over the years he gained weight due to sedentary life style. He reclaimed his health this year and lost the extra weight gained through diet and exercise.
I am an all or nothing kind of person and unfortunately that holds true for exercise. I can sustain regular treadmill and/or kettle bell and yoga workouts for months and think OK it is finally a habit and I am going to maintain this but I don't. If I miss twice in a row it is like herding cats into a bag to get me back into my routine. Now, once I restart I love it and can't figure out what took me so long to go back to it. I keep repeating this pattern and would like to stop it but it seems I either work out every day or I quickly fall into the not at all pattern.
I do the don't think about it, just set a time, get dressed and do it and that does help but any other ideas would be appreciated. I don't go to the gym I do everything at home so that is not an excuse. I also have a gym and a pool in my condo that I don't use and I use to be a swimmer!
If I give myself permission to work out only 5 days a week and take weekends off will I be able to get back to thinks on Monday?
