Let me take care of you!

I originally was going to go to my mom's house after surgery for a few days so that she could take care off me.  My son said that he wants to be the one to take care of me because I took such good care of him back in March and he wants to repay me!

History:  While my son was away at college back in February, there was a home invasion in his apartment and he was shot in the stomach and the bullet hit his liver.  After two surgeries, he was stable.  When he came home, he was on a drainage tube, and he had to have a stint but in because of a leak.  He's my only child and I was going to do whatever it took to get him back to his normal self.  Well a month later he went back to college to finish up the semester (not back in the apartment of course).  Then one morning he called to say he wasn't feeling well and had a fever, I immediately told him to go to the emergency room and it was a good thing he did because he had an infection and almost died!    We live about 2 hrs away from where he went to college so I was freaking out!  He is now back to his normal self and wants to take care of me after surgery.  I love that young man !

By the way, I did tell him yes I will come home after surgery.

Sounds like a good young man!  My sons are teenagers and have been taking really great care of me too.  Its so nice to see that there are still some good men in the world!  Good luck on your surgery!

Wow, sounds like he's been through a lot (and you too, having to watch him go through all of that). How sweet that he wants to take care of you!
