That's a crazy, awesome story!  You should drop a note to the pendelton company... "25 year old gift travels forward in time to when the recipient is really ready to receive it."

Frisco, I found a piece of jewelry in my closet (long story) with a note in my mom's handwriting. It said my grandpa made the necklace. My mom died in 2005.

I totally get how you feel.

Your Dad was cool...."Pendletons" are very hip and all the SF hipsters wear them!

This is a very touching story, thank you for sharing.  My grandmother died 25 years ago....she was my best friend in the whole world.  Age 15 was when I first started gaining weight...she paid for me to get seaweed 'body wraps' to try to get me to slim down, she paid for me to go to "Diet Center".  I wish she could see me now.

I can really relate to your post, Frisco.

Aw Frisco, you made me cry at work!!!  I have lost both of  my parents and I missing them terrible.  I am only about 3 1/2 months in this journey but so wish they could see me now.  Both worried so much about my weight.  Thanks for sharing and congrats on your success!
